The Edelmann Power-Steering Repair Kit #7858 is a steering gear rebuild kit designed to repair the power steering gear box on a very extensive range of older American-made cars and trucks, primarily those utilizing Saginaw power steering gear boxes. It does not fit power steering pumps or rack and pinion systems. This kit includes the seals, O-rings, and other small components needed to fix leaks and wear within the steering gear itself.
This kit has a broad application across various makes and models, typically spanning from the early 1960s to the late 1970s and early 1980s, with some applications extending even into the mid-1980s.
For instance, it fits many Buick models from 1961 to 1978, including the Skylark, Special, LeSabre, Estate Wagon, and Regal.
