⚠️ Crucial Engine Builder Sizing Notes
- Full-Pressure Only: This rod is designed strictly for the 1954–1962 full-pressure oiling versions of the 235 engine. It will NOT fit 1941–1953 splash-lubricated 216 CID or early 235 CID engines, which use babbitt-style rods with oil scoops.
- Cylinder Stamping: While technically interchangeable across other cylinder positions if re-checked by a machine shop for weight variance, it comes factory-serialized and matched for Cylinder #2. Bearings are not included.
The Fine Print
Vintage Remanufactured Quality: This component is a genuine piece of historical American garage stock. The rod itself is clean, straight, and has been stored in its original protective cosmoline/oil film to prevent corrosion. The classic red and white Federal-Mogul cardboard box features great period shelf-wear, vintage tape, and handwritten mechanic notes that add excellent vintage character.
A Note on Fitment Accuracy: We manually research our fitment data using vintage manufacturer catalogs to provide you with the most accurate information possible. However, because we are human and these decades-old resources can occasionally contain errors, we cannot guarantee 100% accuracy. We strongly encourage you to perform your own due diligence and verify this part number for your specific application before purchasing. Please note that this part may also fit other vehicles or years not explicitly listed in our research.
Unbeatable Prices & Expectations
While many of our vintage parts were manufactured decades ago, they remain unused and high-quality. Some original boxes may show signs of shelf-wear, such as dust, tape, or surface distress from years of storage. Rest assured, the components inside have been inspected to ensure they are complete and ready to help you finish your project without breaking the bank.
