The Brain of the Spark: Electronic Ignition Control Modules

In the 1970s, points were replaced by the Ignition Control Module (ICM). If your 70s or 80s classic dies when hot and won't restart until it cools down, your module is likely failing from heat stress.

Factory Correct Modules We stock the correct replacement modules for the "Big Three" systems:

  • Mopar: The famous "Orange Box" (and Chrome/Gold variations) ECU.

  • Ford: The "Duraspark" blue-grommet (and other color) fender-mounted boxes.

  • GM: The 4-pin and 5-pin modules found inside HEI distributors.

  • Quality: Our NOS and NORS units feature heavy-duty potting to resist vibration and heat better than cheap modern clones.
