Note: This is a Dual Action fuel pump (Type 515). It features a vacuum booster section on top to assist vacuum windshield wipers under engine load. It is the specific factory pump for 1937-1938 6-cylinder Oldsmobile and Pontiac models. It is also functionally compatible as a service replacement for the later Type 523 used on 1939+ models.
