Parts Condition Guide

NOS (New Old Stock) These are Genuine Factory Original parts. They were manufactured by the original equipment manufacturer (OEM) for the vehicle when it was new.

NORS (New Old Replacement Stock) These are original vintage aftermarket parts. They were manufactured by third-party companies (like Moog, Standard, etc.) during the same era as the vehicle.

Remanufactured These parts have been completely disassembled, cleaned, and restored to Original Equipment (OEM) specifications. Wearable internal components have been replaced with new parts, and the unit has been tested to ensure it performs like new.

Rebuilt These parts have been disassembled, inspected, and repaired. Any failed or worn-out components have been replaced to restore functionality. These offer a cost-effective alternative to new or remanufactured units while maintaining original fitment.

Used / Take-Off These are original parts removed from donor vehicles. They are functional but will show signs of wear, age, and previous use. These are ideal for "driver quality" restorations or for obtaining rare castings that are no longer available new.

Condition & Storage Note Please note that "NOS" and "NORS" do not necessarily mean "perfect." Manufacturing technology in the past was different from today's standards, so minor factory imperfections should be expected. Additionally, because these parts may have been in storage for 40 to 100 years, they may be dusty, greasy, or show signs of surface rust.

Small Parts & Hardware While we make every effort to provide complete assemblies, please be aware that small hardware items—such as gaskets, cotter pins, washers, nuts, or mounting bolts—may be missing due to the age of the packaging or original supply standards. We recommend being prepared to source these standard hardware items separately if they are not visible in the product photos.
