Product Description
Genuine OEM 10001754 Transmission Mount (NOS)
Please note: That while all the information I have found that 10001754 actually fits Ford, while 10001753 actually fits Chevrolet, Oldsmobile, and Pontiac in years 1977-87. This transmission mount 10001754 I'm seeeing it fitting Ford that interchanges to D42A-6068-AA and are stating Ford actually had 8-digit part number similar to a GM #. Maybe the book is wrong and had issues finding any info online regarding this to back this info up...so I'm a little confused on this one.
This is a genuine NOS (New Old Stock) rear transmission mount, precision-engineered by Ford for the second-generation Mustang and its platform siblings. Manufactured in the USA to original factory specifications, this critical rubber-to-steel insulator supports the rear of the transmission, maintaining proper drivetrain geometry and dampening vibrations to ensure a smooth, factory-correct ride. It is a specific component for 1974-1978 Ford Mustang II, Ford Pinto, and Mercury Bobcat models, primarily those equipped with automatic transmissions. For collectors and restorers, this authentic OEM part ensures the exact fitment and structural integrity that only original factory components can provide for these iconic 1970s compacts.
