Note: This is a Dual Action fuel pump (Type 523) which includes a vacuum booster section to operate windshield wipers under load. It fits 6-Cylinder engines only. It is often interchanged with or replaced by AC Type 515 in later service manuals, extending coverage to 1941-1948 models, but 523 is the specific correct casting for 1939-1940.
